Downing injury hits hopes of Boro exit
Stewart Downing was told yesterday that he may have to miss six months of football with a fracture to his foot which will ruin any hope of a move out of Middlesbrough his summer. The England international, 24, came off injured in the 1-1 draw against Aston Villa at the weekend and scans yesterday revealed that his injuries were more serious than first though.
